New Brunswick Counseling Center drug-testing program is designed to detect the presence of alcohol, illicit drugs, or certain prescription drugs.

Conducting Drug Tests

We use a certified lab Atlantic Diagnostic Laboratories and follow other guidelines for drug testing. Before beginning drug testing, we ask the following questions

  • Name of who is receiving testing?
  • When are the drug tests given?
  • Who pays for the drug testing?
  • FOR DCF referrals, we required a Special Approval Request
  • FOR WF/SAI referrals, we required

Tests are done by a trained collector when you visit our program to collect specimens.
To ensure accuracy, the specimen’s chain of custody must be continuous from receipt until disposal.
